The Land Rover is raised and modified, and the step up into it is high. If anyone in your group may find that difficult, contact us before you book: +354 691 1849 or mudshark@mudshark.is.

Join us on a four-hour ecotour and find out. We pick you up from hotels in the Hella–Hvolsvöllur area and show you what this is all about. We visit a number of spots that highlight these issues and end the trip at Sagnagarður at Gunnarsholt — a visitor centre designed to tell the story of land reclamation in Iceland. The guide is a local expert with a Ph.D. in botany and ecology with over twenty years of experience in the field of ecosystem restoration. Departures at 15:00 Monday to Friday, flexible at weekends. Available all year round.

Payment and cancellation

Full payment is required to confirm your private tour. Cancellations received at least 48 hours before departure are fully refundable. Cancellations made within 48 hours of departure and no-shows are non-refundable. Cancellations must be made in writing to mudshark@mudshark.is or by phone on +354 691 1849. If MudShark has to cancel, for the weather or any other reason, we offer you another date, and a full refund if none suits you.
