It doesn´t matter what the weather is like, Thorsmork (Þórsmörk in Icelandic) is always wonderful, only 64km from Hella. The closer you get to Þórsmörk, the tougher it gets. The road gets increasingly bumpier and difficult and there are many rivers to ford. On the way we stop at Gígjökull glacier viewing the geological formations left by the flooding during the eruption in Eyjafjallajökull glacier in 2010. We also stop by Nauthúsagil “Cowshed canyon” and Stakkholtsgjá. Plenty of time for discovering on your own. Stunning colors and super motives for the eye or camera. Bring appropriate clothing and lunch.

The tour will take 8-9 hours. Free pick-up in the Selfoss-Hvolsvöllur region. For pick-up outside this region, send us an email. Available from April to October.
