Ecosystems tour with Ph.D botanist: 
Iceland is well known for the ice and fire that has sculpted its environment. Mountains, hot springs, volcanoes and glaciers are all amazing and astonishing sights. But have you wondered about the things you DON´T see? Why are there so few trees? You want to find out? 

Join us on a 4 hour ecotour and learn.

In this tour we pick you up from hotels in the Hella-Hvolsvöllur area on our Land Rover Super Jeep and show you what this is all about. We visit a number of spots that highlight these issues and end the trip by visiting "Sagnagarður" at Gunnarsholt - a visitor center designed to tell the story of land reclamation in Iceland. The guide is a local expert (Ph.D. in botany) and has over 20 years of experience in the field of soil conservation.
